fuck newsom for that veto just like his dozens of evil vetoes but also it should be made clear that even tho he's a coward for not signing the other bills, they still go into effect even when he doesn't sign them. CA is getting a bunch of new trans protections from this thanks to CA congress

Fred Flentstone stands, hands on his hips, looking incredulously at Barney Rubble, who is at the corner of the panel barely visible. He appears to wearing tiny sunglasses.

Fred looks incredulous.

I don’t disagree it’s a shallow and empty way to engage with art, I just believe that art doesn’t always need to be engaged with in a deep constructive away.

This feeling for me largely comes from video games where there’s a LOT of preciousness about playing the “correct way”, not using mods, etc

Okay I didn’t know who this was that made the original post and yeah If she’s unrelated a grifty shithead I won’t defend her.

But I do believe if someone wants to read a book in a shallow “incorrect” way that prioritizes only their enjoyment, I don’t think that’s actually wrong of them

For example finnegan’s wake comes to mind to me as a book that straight up can’t be approached by just reading from the start to finish. If anything, opening it up to a random page can be more rewarding in itself

There’s no wrong way to engage with art. Doing it in a way different than intended by the author may result in missing the experience they were going for but ultimately people know best what they’ll get the most enjoyment out of
