Lastly, we really should not give this woman any benefit of the doubt, even if she says something that sounds conciliatory and reasonable. She's was a Q-Anoner, she's a racist, she's a fascist. We know what her views are. Any appearance of softening of views is scarcely likely to be honest.

It really isn't. This is just a downplaying of the nationwide crackdown on civil liberties that's going on, and the unprecedented literal militarisation on domestic soil (not international, that's very precedented)

Well first, that's not true. Secondly, that's not what she's been doing, at all. She's pretending to just be a mischaracterised local champion, when that's not been the case.

This is basically just a less obvious version of saying "America First". It's at the core of Trumpism's policies of withdrawing from climate agreements, imposing tariffs, and oppressing immigrants.

With that in mind, god it's nice to see a leader say something as obvious as, "billionaires can't just shove their capital assets in a carry on bag and jet out of here."

Oh for sure, I think just how you're handling dice, how many you're handling, which you're handling, what you're doing with them - these all add up.

I often try and make it so that the *way* you interact with dice/cards is metaphorically evocative.

For me, I care whether all results do actually introduce narrative and character interest. Once they do, I just vaguely get the ratios of results feeling good. As long as it's all interesting I'm not bothered about deep specifics.

People who are and go deep on stats are also good and cool.

By the way, my real hot take is, die choice doesn't really matter. It's a tiny, unimportant part of game design that gets massively overfocused on. Calling a game "2d6 based" or whatever is like saying a car is "red paint job based".
