Another reason that importing beef from Argentina is dumb.

Apparently they are experiencing an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in cattle, which could diminish herds.

I think Dr. Griffith’s quote in this article is probably right—this is just an excuse to backpedal in the face of opposition.
