I think apps and websites should be held legally liable for the advertising they allow. So many times, I've come across ads that are just blatant phishing scams, or that are intentional misinformation.

Found out about Fleetway's Donkey Kong Comic and the character section cracked me up.

From Fleetway's Donkey Kong Jungle Action Special, 5 pages of character bios for DKC1's Kong family. The text is as follows:

MEET THE FAMILY KONG
They're bodacious! They're outrageous! They're the prime family of primates on Donkey Kong Island. Take a banana break and find out who's really who.

DONKEY KONG
The King of Swing, the Prime Primate: it's Donkey Kong! But this is not the Donkey Kong who kidnaps helpless females and carries them to the tops of tall buildings! It would take more than an Italian plumber to bring this ape down. As it turns out Donkey is the grandson of the original Donkey Kong and is, quite frankly, a great disappointment to his old grandpappy. Still, he doesn't really care what the old guy says about him (most of the time he doesn't even listen). Donkey knows that as long as he's got a cave full of bananas and no Kremlings in the neighbourhood he's got nothing to worry about. However, in a sticky situation, The Big Guy is the best ally you could wish for; strong, tough and fearless. His biggest problem is that he tends to rush into situations without thinking things through. This ends up getting him into all kinds of trouble!

DIDDY KONG
Although he would never admit it, Diddy Kong is a Donkey Kong wannabe. His ambition in life is to be a hero just like the Big Guy and although Donkey Kong would never say it to Diddy's face, the kid certainly has potential. He's fast, agile and has the heart to be a world-class hero - he just needs a little more experience. Unlike his big buddy, Diddy has a cooler head on his shoulders and tends to think things through a little - not that this helps him much when he hangs around with Donkey Kong.

CRANKY KONG
Donkey Kong's grouchy grandpappy is actually the original Donkey Kong. Cranky is best remembered for the time he grabbed a girl called Pauline and carried her to the top of a tall building. It was here he had his first famous meeting with Mario. Unfortunately what Cranky has to say about the heroic Italian plumber is unprintable! However, their exploits were turned into a best-selling video game which took the whole world by storm. Since then he has 'retired' (some say 'banished') to Donkey Kong Island where despairs at his grandson's attempts to be a hero. Cranky never tires of telling DK about the good old days and all the adventures he had when he was young. Donkey Kong thinks that deep down Cranky is really proud of him and wants to see him do well in the hero business. Big mistake!

FUNKY KONG
Funky Kong, Donkey Kong's bronze, surfin' friend, usually hangs out at the island's many beaches. Funky hates to go on adventures himself (he's too laid back) he keeps up on the island scene and is useful source of information at times. He also operates Funky's Flights - an air taxi service of very limited range. One day it may go further, but only if Funky feels like doing any work.

CANDY KONG
Candy Kong is the banana of Donkey Kong's eye, and
one of his closest friends. Although everyone assumes that they will get married some day, Donkey Kong's just not ready to settle down yet (in Candy's opinion). Candy is also very fond of Diddy, and tends to pinch his little cheeks at every opportunity. Needless to say this drives the little guy crazy; he wants to be taken seriously. Candy is thrifty and saves everything she thinks might come in useful one day.

THE LEGEND OF THE KONGS
Rumour has it that ancient texts have been discovered which show that the name 'Donkey Kong' has been around much longer than previously thought. In fact, there are said to be secret caverns containing mysterious gold statues located on the island. However, no-one knows where these caverns are, let alone how to get into them. Until someone finds the caverns the Legend of The Kongs may never be known!

It's placement makes it humourously look like Judge Dredd is also a character in Donkey Kong Country.
