Pity the US doesn't allow snap elections. It could come in handy right now.

Putin sits in Moscow claiming that his armies have taken a town that the Ukrainian president is personally visiting. There are cowardly tyrants and there are courageous elected leaders and it is good to know the difference.
Putin said Russia had taken Kupiansk weeks ago.

Today, Zelenskyy visited Ukrainian troops there.

Not visiting the US anytime soon or ever.
NEW: Five years of social media history is only a fraction of what the US Government will shortly demand of overseas visitors.

The full requirements will end tourism in the United States.

Below is the full, mind-blowing list.

Danish intelligence has declared the United States, alongside Russia and China, as a threat to national security for Denmark and Europe. It warns that the US may use military force against its own partners and allies.

To all my supporters and supporters-to-be.

You help me show Ukraine to the world.
You inspire me to keep going, even when I’m exhausted.
You break the ice of indifference I so often see.

Thank you – I needed to say this today.

Drinking wine and dressing the tree while listening to the adventures of Karl XII during the Great Northern War. I sure as hell hope we don't have a second Northern War but who knows. Trump in his infinite wisdom is aligning with Russia and Russia is deploying submarines into Scandinavian waters.

Russia attacking from the east, the US from the west. The richest man in the world is also "helping out". As a European I'm starting to feel somewhat nervous.

I curse the day Fred Trump didn't pull out in time.
Anybody who is still hoping that Trump's America is a friend to European nations and the EU should read this.
He, and his administration, clearly want a far right take over of the continent.
He is not our friend. He is not even our ally.

Text signed by president seems to echo ‘great replacement’ theory, saying Europe faces ‘civilisational erasure’

Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

I've turned into the female equivalent of a grumpy old git silently muttering "you're in my way kindly fuck off". Crowded Christmas markets appear to have that effect on me.

I've signed as well. If you haven't , please do.

For the first time I'm almost glad I can't vote in UK despite living here. Obviously I would vote to stop Reform but with FPTP the choices are dire. Labour, what the fuck are you doing?
How have Labour watched the Tories spend 2-3 years parroting Farage then lose an election badly and conclude a similar strategy is the best course of action?
I. Really. Genuinely. Do Not. Get. It.
Just another of those days when I hate this government

As a Scandinavian, I humbly ask Americans to once and for all learn the bloody difference between Social democracy and Communism.

Long discussion with my sis in Sweden. After the usual chitchat about family and weather, she swiftly changed to American politics. I can't recall ever discussing American politics her before. I can't recall her knowing the name of the White House press secretary. To put it mildly, she's not a fan.

When Trump won the presidency a year ago, I was depressed for a weak. Tried telling myself, get a grip, you're not American, you don't live in the US. It didn't work, I had this ominous feeling of danger that the orange lunatic would plunge us into WWIII, either by design or plain stupidity.

My mother loved toads, I'm not entirely sure why. She loved them so much she would pick them up and drop them off in the most unexpected places. In my bed when I was asleep, a somewhat alarming experience. On a buffet table sending drinks flying. She would have loved the dancing frogs of Portland.

I love Portland which is peculiar since I've never even been there.

I've always found it peculiar why rightwing politicians and their supporters are so obsessed with other people's sexlife.

Comfort food and childhood memories. Beef Stroganoff à la Marianne (Marianne was my mum). I won't disturb it for a while, just let it simmer for a couple of hours. Meanwhile, I'm pouring myself a glass of wine.

I'm not a political analyst and it would be ridiculous to pretend otherwise. At this point in time, all I care about is keeping the Russia sponsored Reform party out of power. Just like in the US, media appear infatuated with the hard right, conveniently ignoring their links with Putin.

Many symbols have been used in the fight against fascism. The inflatable frog is a novel addition. What better way to fight despair than amusement and laughter.
The inflatable frog has gone global. Today’s #NoKings #NoTyrants rallies in Japan, Australia, Spain, and Germany.
