Yeah this makes me think of the inverse of "If something is punished with a fine that just means it's legal for rich people." A third of us have criminal records, and about a third of us are really poor. It's not us it's a really bad system. Not even a broken one; it never worked right to begin with
I keep thinking about the fact that "nearly one-third of the adult working age population [in the US] has a criminal record."
With numbers like that, this isn't a problem of individuals. This comes down to what our society calls "crime."

last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

Please keep putting pressure on PayPal. Stories like this are becoming more and more common. Artists don’t deserve to lose their source of income over payment processors being puritanical/anti-small business.

You know, what really, really grinds my gears about this is the fact that there are undoubtedly so many queer japanese actors out there who I know would *kill* to voice Eiji Okumura in this, just to have a role where they can see themselves. But nah, can't have that.
The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them
