I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Update: surgery went great! I woke up from it a few hours ago and I’m damn sore and still disoriented but I’m WAY more cognizant than I’ve been after basically every other surgery I’ve had which is nice

Now into the second season of Hunter x Hunter and there's something SO funny to me about how the openings/endings show gon and killua and kurapika doing all this cool shonen stuff and then it shows Leorio and goes "he's busy getting his degree and battling midterms, he's too busy for shonen stuff"

I started watching the Hunter X Hunter anime recently and had a moment where I went “oh didn’t woolie and eyepatch wolf do a series about watching it” which led into me watching the entirety of GON IN 60 SECONDS and I gotta say. I was not prepared for the series to morph into psychological horror.

I gave playing Rez Infinite another shot and have gotten much more into the groove of the game this time around and it is quickly becoming a "man I wanna play that level again" compulsion that I now need to hold off on because I'm giving myself wrist pain
