Tbh, I'm kinda like even if my workplace formed a syndicate, not a union, the direct democracy of it could shut out any potential for trans rights in the workplace. I don't want to be dependent on solidarity for rights. And that's why I've lost interest in organizing the workplace.

I think about this in relation to "purity culture" in white evangelical churches. There's a connection between child marriage and these chuches and their doctrines. I'm sure others have written about it.
Republican lawmakers have been the primary opposition to child marriage bans across multiple states. Between 2000 and 2018 around 300,000 minors were married in the United States, with 60,000 of those marriages involving an age difference that would otherwise be considered a sex crime. #EpsteinFiles
