Let’s see if I’m following this correctly, if I got this wrong fill me in.

-Trump account posts racist video
-WH spox defends the video
-WH then says actually a staffer posted it by mistake, how dare you blame Trump for it
-Trump says I told them to post the video, it was a strong video, Lion King!

Getting rid of your photojournalists is a good sign that you’re turning to takes and not reporting as your bread and butter.
INBOX: Robert McCartney, who worked for 39 years at The Washington Post, including as a Metro columnist and editor, before retiring in 2021, claims on X that he has heard the Post has laid off *all* its photojournalists.

Why are photojournalists important?

Imagine your news outlet not having cameras when the January 6th insurrection happened.

This is really appalling. Jeff Bezos following the Musk model of making something suck, then punishing others for it sucking.

Shouldn't attorneys for the USA support the constitution, no matter the president?
This rules so hard. In law school I remember people who wanted to be federal prosecutors spending three years doing everything they could to be maybe, possibly be competitive for an AUSA job someday. Now you just need to hop on X the everything app and DM a guy named Chad.

Still - we jumped out to a big lead on the road ... At ARKANSAS no less ... And we held onto it. That's something. #bbn

Pope continues to play baffling lineups. Arkansas made their comeback when UK had in Aberdeen, Noah, Garrison, Jelavic and I think Oweh? That lineup ain't scoring much. #bbn

For just the 3rd time this season in 15 games against high-major opponents, Kentucky basketball leads at halftime.

The Wildcats are up 42-35 at the break at No. 15 Arkansas.

UK led by as many as 13 points in the first half tonight.

UK played its best opening 5 minutes of SEC play just to stick it to me for betting against them and immediately followed it up with 15 minutes true to their form of terrible offense.
Of course UK is playing well. I bet Arkansas to win the race to 15. #bbn

On the bright side, if this prevails it means I have standing to sue the government for leaking my tax information to a 20 year old named Big Balls.

Serious question: If you're in book #3 of a series that you've enjoyed thus far but you're halfway through the book and it sucks, do you push through or give up?

Something important to understand about ICE thugs in the Twin Cities is that they're harassing innocent kids and parents at bus stops and schools every single day. Even after the Pretti shooting. It's terrorism.

I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc...

Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.

I can't put into words the feeling of watching our government, a hive of evil antisocial filth, the absolute worst humanity has to offer, colliding with the best. Ordinary people trying to help each other, risking everything to stand up for what's plainly, unambiguously fair and right. It's unreal

Follow up question - what's halfway between committing war crimes against citizens and throwing snowballs?
JD Vance on chemical munitions against protesters: "We don't want to employ the kind of tactics that are only necessary when violence is committed against officers. That is these guys' directive, and that's what we're gonna try to do ... all they gotta do is meet us halfway"
