1975: Harlan Ellison visits Michael Moorcock in London. The Englishman sits Ellison in front of the TV when Dr Who comes on & insists Ellison “be quiet & just watch”. By the late 1970s,Ellison is such a fan of Dr Who that he’s taunting US scifi fans with declarations of its superiority over US fare.

It works, I can see why you went for it! But there's a fairly stark difference between North and South Warwickshire, which, oddly enough, seems to be marked largely by the line of the Danelaw.

And if you go out towards Rugby, the whole place is positively haunted. Stains from the Civil War

They really are a drinker's drink. It's booze mixed with more booze, and the cocktail shaker makes it cold without watering it down. I used to absolutely cane them all the time but these days I tend to just stick to lager

It’s specifically using a splash of the olive juice, in addition to the olives.

The alternative of course is with a twist of lemon, which is particularly nice in a gin martini.

I go for 3 or 4 parts vodka (or gin, if you prefer), 1 part white vermouth, several olives, splash of the brine. mmmmmmm

I'm surprised we didn't see the animator's hair get visibly greyer throughout the clip! Several weeks is very good going indeed for stop-motion. That's awesome
