My body is a temple. It has awakened after 100 years dormant under the ice of Antarctica, and the xenomorphs and the Yautja are about to have a hoedown.
My body is not a temple; it’s a toilet
My body is not a temple; it’s an abandoned mall where the music never turned off

kreia if you take twix: is a simple chocolate bar beneath you? must every treat be a carnival of flavors and textures? so quick you are to deny tradition

kreia if you take a hershey bar: are you so afraid of taking even the basest of risks? of abandoning your childish tastes and comforts? pathetic
ready to drop some cryptic scolding?

Take it from a corporate landlord salivating over how much he’s going to raise rents because no new apartments are getting built—the only way to keep rents from skyrocketing is to follow Cambridge’s lead and allow multifamily by-right!
New housing stops landlords from raising rents—take it from the CEO of AvalonBay, one of NYC's largest landlords:
"We're well-positioned… we face significantly less new supply. Land entitled for multifamily is hard to come by, the amount of time it takes to get those entitlements… sets us up well.”

With SNAP benefits going to shit because of rich assholes and corruption running rampant through politics I'd like to point your attention to a Clinton.

No, not one of those Clintons. This Clinton. Clifford Clinton.

alright two fingers of Uncle Nearest on ice just told me that what the world needs is a @theflytrapmedia.com appreciation thread for the work the cofounders have done on this year's (re)subscription campaign so strap in, fuckos, for some worker-owned feminist media hype

For my newsletter, I took a deeper look at the electoral record of WelcomePAC, a centrist group that produced that 352 page document advising Democrats to moderate once again.

Turns out the campaigns they work for aren't winning. www.burnsnotice.com/fire-the-con...
Fire The Consultants
The Democratic party must move on from the same old stale, carefully poll-tested politics and get back to solving voters' problems. There are only three certainties in life: death, taxes, and Democra...

Y'all, as a kid who grew up food-insecure, plz don't do this. There is nothing more demoralizing as a little kid than being reminded of your family's poverty. We looked forward to Halloween bc it was the 1 chance to be like every other kid and get access to treats the food banks never gave out.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that I'm surprised by this headline or the fact that I probably shouldn't be:

I'm going to start a new political party. It's called Shut The Fuck Up and Feed People.

"But what if they're on drugs?"

"Or not really THAT poor?"

"What if they have a phone and nice nails?"

The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

I just got back from NYC several months ago and I have never in my life seen a greater share of families riding public transit, especially late at night, anywhere else in the United States of America. The subway was the safest mass transit I've been on anywhere in the US
Sean Duffy: "If you're a Democrat, you're a liberal, you don't like cars and you want people to ride public transportation, I think that's wonderful, good for you. But if you want us all to ride public transportation, make it safe. Make it clean. Make is beautiful. I don't know why NY can't do that"

It's incredible how stewed in this our punditocracy are, nationally on down. Just a few days after the election, RI had one of its last remaining newspaper columnists and the Democratic mayor of a Trump-leaning town discuss how Harris focused too much about LGBTQ issues.
Pretty funny because the amount the Harris campaign spent on LGBTQ ads, was, get this: zero. Wonder what’s going on there and why voters and guys like @walshfreedom.bsky.social think that, guess there’s no way to know.

Maps are fundamentally political, so as freelance writer Emma Bainbridge explores, the Orange Wig's obsession with reshaping maps is simply another way of legitimizing repression.
Maps Have Always Been A Colonial Tool of Expansion—Techno-Fascism Is Making It Worse
How are the colonial applications of cartography, mixed with growing techno-fascism, helping Donald Trump's expansionist agenda?
