Been playing it close to the vest, foolish anxiety over it somehow falling apart, but I’ve got the HR stuff in place so I feel comfortable putting it out there.

Got a new gig, start next week, and for those longtime fans of this account, yes, it is the one I was excited about a few weeks ago!

Film & TV get the credit but for the 1960s Japanese ninja craze, an era before VHS or cable TV reruns, movies and shows come and go and can't be seen again. In reality it was BOOKS, whose pages were endlessly pondered by fanatics, that made mass fandom academic. vintageninja.net/ink-paper-an...
Ink, Paper and Shadows: A Look At Vintage Japanese Ninja Books
There were a hundred or more movies and TV shows delivering a consistent, almost branded, ninja idiom in Japan during their 60s craze. Entering 2026, we have access to more of that astounding vintage ...

And the last one, thanks for indulging me.
Bonus round, non-Remco, but all still stuff that was trying to grab some of that sweet Joe money.

Slade the Super Agent, a 12in Joe style figure from Shindana Toys that I learned about from the fabulous @plaidstallions.bsky.social , Psycho from Commando, and the knockoff European Force baddies.

More!
Round 3

The Fish, Touchdown, Captain Combat, and Heavy Metal.

Always liked Heavy Metal's look, the sleeveless pink sportcoat on top of the more punk gear gave him a lot of character.

Yeah, I’m just gonna keep reposting these . . .
Told @maxeeesai.bsky.social I'd post these months ago, finally found the hard drive the pics were on. How many I can get up before dinner? Try and get the rest up tomorrow.

Few years ago I did a bunch of Remco American Defense designs with Modern Era Joe parts, enjoy! Recipes etc in alt text.

Evening crowd repost!
Round 2!

Wolfman and Trenchcoat from the S.I.T. subline. Had a fun time making Wolfman transformable, the original figure's action feature of the double faced head to let him change while hiding the other face behind the helmet was a fun bit of playability.

Folks of Bluesky, thank you for the enthusiastic response this post got on here.

As of now, we have the board members we need to launch. After the Board has their first official meeting, they will decide the size of the Board and return to the applications for additional members if necessary. 📚

Bleh. Fender bender. Just cosmetic damage, but still hoping that it doesn’t end up being too much of a pain in the ass. Or too big a time suck.

Reposting this so I remember to track this down.
Gonna let this post be a formal recommendation - a great 90s throwback to labyrinthine Fukasaku-style yakuza politicking/gang warfare flicks, Akira Kobayashi one of the coolest guys of all time, incredible violence, Takeshi Kitano cameo, has all the things cinema is made of

So, with the success of Physical:100 and Physical:Asia I’d like to pitch Physical:South Minneapolis where athletes the world over compete to see who can shovel my snow the fastest. Happy to abide by the standard established with Asia and provide one (1) bottle of Powerade per contestant per event.
