... ③ So Mon-Wed will be a test, and for those not returned, and where there's no evidence Hamas can provide on death to at least confirm that to relatives and the peace process, then it'll spark concern that some are being kept back. This is one place the pressure for peace might see splits

... ② all of the living? There've been stories before that the factionalised nature of Hamas, including some groups which are only somewhat loosely tied to it, has meant before that some hostages weren't under their control. That was witnessed too sometimes by vastly varying treatment of some.

The Gaza peace process will be nothing if not bumpy, and ideally with bumps rather than bangs. One of the first challenges will be on Mon-Wed with the release of 'all' off the remaining hostages, dead or alive. Hamas has acknowledged it doesnt know where all the dead are. But does it control ...

Even I was surprised when Zia Yusuf (Reform) started throwing his toys out of his pram in response to Zack Polanski turning his personal attacks back him instead.

Zia might be a divisive, hateful, privately educated multi-millionaire - but he can’t handle the heat.

I could watch Zack Polanski utterly wreck Zia Yusuf ALL DAY LONG.

Scotland decided to do its own thing over censuses, and one change came with introducing Roma as a possible classification for ethnicity. The problem seems to have been tho that they didnt make clear that Roma didnt mean people born in Rome 🙃

The assessment shows a critical gap in U.S. military capabilities as Russia deploys hypersonic missiles against Ukraine and China rapidly advances its own arsenal.

Big development on our July storyabout a dodgy tax relief claim by Dundee United and tax firm ZLX.

The club made a huge claim for R&D tax relief which said that 24% of the players' time, and 80% of the chef's time, was spent on "research and development".

Not credible.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

Both sides in the war in Ukraine are already using AI in some of their drones. Quite how far it is and later gets used remains to be seen - Ukraine insists that a human will have to remain in the kill chain. It's not clear if Russia feels the same.
