So far 2026 feels like the poorly written middle sequel of the franchise:

Bigger, poorly thought out set pieces.

Underdeveloped new characters.

Regurgitated story beats.

And a held over primary antagonist who has lost his aura.

I need the Writer’s Room to do better.

Maybe I’m just starved for good, simple, meat and potatoes storytelling, but damn, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode 4 just made me want to stand up and cheer.

Am I crazy or is there no way to do tethered PCVR with Galaxy XR ?

I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

‘One officer told me that I "had no chance of returning to Minnesota" and that "the best thing for (me] is self-deportation." …
She offered me $2600 to self-deport.
I refused.
I wanted to talk to my attorney.
They didn't tell me the judge had already ordered my release and return to Minnesota.’

It is crazy how I can agonize over whether or not to spend $30 on a game whereas I just “accept” gas and electric and grocery bills in the hundreds of dollars, simply because the first is categorized as a “luxury.”
Because it's a trend right now, may as well say it here. I have literally never once regretted buying a video game. And believe me, I have bought some stinkers.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Today I learned Valve has their own fork of Unreal Engine for Steam Frame! Might be helpful with Android XR as well…

My two youngest kids are happily and loudly planning a base in No Man's Sky together. One is on the Xbox and the other is laying on a pile of Squishmallows and playing on the Steam Deck.

Video games are cool.

Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.
