This is HUGE news announced by @flfreedomread.bsky.social that will affect all Floridians. If public libraries are legally considered to be an arm of the government and lose their “free speech” rights, we are royally fucked. I’ll likely end up leaving the profession for good. 😡

Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

Excellent deep-dive into the violence perpetrated by fascist Zionist thugs at UCLA. Democrats, Republicans, the ADL, and the media have spent over a year lying that the violence was an antisemitic attack on Jews, and have used it and other lies to eviscerate higher education in the US:
“That was the day that it hit: UCLA has changed forever. It marked a turning point in the militarization of campus.”

I have many thoughts about this, one is I can't help but think this is all just shining a light on how games are still being held to wildly different standards than other media like film. I've played very few games like HORSES but watched so many films like it (as a connoisseur of arthouse horror).

Yet another example of the New York Times actively misinforming the public. Wild!
writing that republicans "do not seem to be considering" a full-scale porn ban, despite your own sources for this story AND republicans themselves saying they want to ban porn, is sending me to outer space nytimes.com/2025/12/01/u...

you gotta remember that from a conservative perspective, these programs are a failure. they don't want to reduce homelessness, they want to punish homeless people. they'd pay 10x as much for that happily
An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

Actually, the likelihood is 100%. In US jurisprudence, accused people are innocent until proven guilty. Hegseth's victims were not proven guilty; they were not even tried. Therefore they were ALL, to the last man, legally innocent. Hegseth ordered the murders of several dozen innocent men.
Rand Paul just posted this letter from the Coast Guard confirming that 1/4 of the boats they stop carry no contraband. The likelihood that Hegseth & Bradley ordered the murder of innocent civilians is very high.

i think the reason why i keep pushing to create greater context behind these seemingly nonsensical bans is that it is never just one game or just one developer--it's valve! it's fucking valve! they are a monopoly and that is bad :)
I think my whole take on Horses isn't "what could possibly be objectionable about this game?" and more "what is fucking wrong with Valve and why do they keep doing this?" Unfortunately this just isn't a new problem!

An easy way to explain luddites:

Textile manufacturers brought in machines that could do in an hour what would have taken 12 hours by hand.

And then, tried to keep paying the now 12x more productive workers the same wages as before.

That's it, that was the problem luddites had. Not complex.
