Whoever did the audio for "Tragedy Girls" (2017) really needs to learn what *volume* is. Because we can't hear something you but at -200000000dB.

I'm trying to find a video I published on YouTube and... they've gotten so obsessed with algorithms & AI that they can't just show me a simple list of "here's every video you uploaded to your channel".

That's the world we now live in.

If your position is that non-cis people should accept anything resembling second class status, you are not my ally. You are my nemesis.

We have every damned right to exist & you know it. You just don't want to own it.

I am choosing to interpret what Eric is saying as "we're pushing for candidates who will actually make changes and defend the rights of marginalized communities, instead of mere 'never Trumpers'".

I will vote for a "never Trumper" if I have no other choice, but I demand better from you now.
Democratic primary voters in the 2020 primary: we shall restore the soul of our nation and return our country to normalcy.

Democratic voters in the 2028 primary: We will drive the machine of war with the sword and the spear and the iron fist of the orc.

In the continuing saga of "multiple seemingly contradictory things can simultaneously be true", Eric is correct that House Dems overwhelmingly voted to respect trans rights. Even as the measure passed & recent history suggests Senate dems will disappoint us. Such is life, primary the anti-trans.
Not being contrarian for contrarianism's sake, but the fact that only three conservative Democrats from districts that voted for Trump voted for a trans care ban for minors should encourage trans people that they can make Democrats hold the line.

It's nearing Christmas time, so you know Congress is rubber-stamping the absolutely worst & most objectionable legislation they could never have contemplated if people were still watching the news instead of various holiday classics.

This particular bill doesn't appear to affect me, since I don't use any health care options to deal with my dysphoria as a gender fluid person.

However, it affects so damned many people, including friends of mine. And it's just cruelty for cruelty's sake. We need politicians who finally listen.
Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.

Astonishingly, it's 2.5 years before most people are going to vote in a primary. Newsom isn't the Democratic nominee for President in 2028. He is just a dude who probably will run for it. And if he's polling well now, historically, he'll flame out by New Hampshire.
I’m supporting the Democratic nominee because politics isn’t an all-or-nothing game. Progress is earned through sustained effort & hard fights over time, not overnight. The best path to protecting & expanding rights is giving Dems as much control of government as possible & pushing from there.

Okay, Death? Meet me at Camera #3.

*Turn to face an arbitrary camera on the set of the Daily Show.*

Death, baby, what are you doing? Why do you keep taking the good ones from us?

We've got a whole raff of politicians, justices, and even a White House worth of geriatric ass evil sons of bitches!
My generation got to know him as one of three CNN reporters coming live from their Baghdad hotel room during the start of the first Gulf War. It was a new kind of war, carried live on air and he was one of the voices that brought it to us.

If you're looking for a candidate who genuinely seems to be taking trans-rights seriously to primary @markwarner.bsky.social, @jasonreynoldsforsenate.com is currently top of the class out of those I've been able to find.

I'm not 100% sold on him yet, but so far he looks better each time I check.

With two years before the primary for 28 begins, now is the time to call out the turd sandwich candidates in order to ensure they aren't on the ballot.

Name, shame, and make it clear they lack the support needed to win. So they don't waste our time.
While this person is clearly off-kilter. I do think that the 'if there is no perfect candidate, I'm not voting' is the thing that got the Democrats in trouble in the last election. Sometimes the election is between a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich and you have to pick the least bad.

The Reagan age, during which a neoliberal rhetorical style associated with Reagan shaped both GOP & Dems, ran from 1980-2016, clearing the way for the even more dishonest Trumpocene. Newsom can’t decide whether he wants to rhetorically be like Trump or Reagan. Neither choice supports democracy.
The presidency once served as a reminder of our common humanity. Ronald Reagan described its purpose as building "a nation composed of good and decent people."

Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.

Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.

@jasonreynoldsforsenate.com almost has what it takes to be a competitor against @markwarner.bsky.social.

However, he's pushing too hard into the @fetterman.senate.gov aesthetic while not offering more than standard platitudes. All of that critique aside, I have to respect his acceptance of his son.
