Caught HAMNET because it was the only film that would let me do a double feature with THE SECRET AGENT (my real interest) and, surprisingly, I loved it. Some indefensible choices late, the complaints about form are dead on, but it did a number on me. Hooray for movies.

I finally got curious enough to look it up, and apparently the new Seyfried/Sweeney movie is not an American remake of the Park Chan-Wook film. For those, like me, only half paying attention.

That time of year when I’m torn between seeing the new movies everyone’s talking about (well the small fraction available to me) and diving deep into the six score years of great movies from around the world that I haven’t seen. (I mostly survive on holiday-themed cable junk food.)
