And here's the second Night Vigil album. This time it's a dungeon synth album (with a few guitars). It was really cool to do DS again and got me excited again to work on some non-metal stuff. Both albums will be released by @fiadh.bsky.social on tape soon.

1) I've spent a few years trying to make it in the music industry. What I learned isn't new. You can try to do it by your own rules, but it's hard. Indy or not, you need to constantly promote yourself and create a cool image. If you don't like doing any of these two, it's VERY hard.

It's funny that a lot of explanations about some of the greatest awe inducing musical moments in terms of composition are like "well, I put my hands randomly on the piano" "it was lying about and I used it" "I just put one song into another song". Always do stupid random stuff, it pays off

d' Eon is soo good, I don't remember ever seeing people who listen to the fantasy synth side of DS mentioning him and I feel like there is an obvious overlap. Also Fire-Toolz masters his stuff and Fire-Toolz rules

1) Ripped to Shreds cancelling a show with Master and calling them out because they played at Metal Threat is exactly the thing that's almost never done in the metal scene and makes a HUGE difference when it happens. It's a conversation starter about complicity in metal and most plp don't want it.

All that needs to be said about "Metal Threat festival". Your old regular nazi metal bands like Arghoslent, Grand Belial's Key and Graveland being brought in and playing together with well known "apolitical" metal bands. Fuck this shit, fuck complicity with nazism in the metal scene.

Something I realized after hitting my head on walls with my music lately. The goal of underground metal can't be to sound as good/pro as mainstream, just to prove you can do it without budget. Nobody's listening for that reason anyway. It's to hear something interesting and different and unique
