Only deeply sick societies spend obscene amounts on chains, cages, walls, and all-seeing cameras as opposed to stuff that fosters beauty, joy, health, people who can think, and a natural world capable of sustaining it all.

Would Bluesky enjoy this god awful clip of Kid Rock from SNL S26E16 that has been scrubbed from the internet?

Because I just found a host of VHS back ups and have that clip right here 😇

As far as I know I have the only YouTube upload - SNL scrubbed the clip long before YouTube

They are in one of the best places in the world to eat food but can't go out either because Italian food is too exotic, or because they know they would be booed.

Not just the VP, not just abroad. Key members of the Trump cabinet live on military bases (Hegseth, Noem, Rubio, Miller).
Not only did they bring a small private army, but among the waste of taxpayer money was BRINGING A FULL PLANE OF FOOD.

To *Italy*.

The shocking thing about Epstein isn't just the fact somebody doing that sort of thing existed and was a... uh, provider to high-end rich people. It's the sheer scale of it and how much of the core big name most powerful elites were in on it w/ this one guy. Including not one but two presidents!

Folks:

This is important.

SHEAR—the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic (a GREAT organization)—is tracking examples of the regime erasing history.

the Epstein files make it very clear why the MeToo backlash was so extreme and why so much of elite society preferred Donald Trump ruling us like a king to the barest hint of accountability

They said "free speech" and "academic freedom" but never believed in either and now in texas you need a permission slip to mention race in class and they're fine with it. Might not have worked if people with large platforms weren't furious about marginal increases of black people in their offices

every epstein file drop underscores how elite power operates through shared socio-economic networks, regardless of people's ideological differences, populist posturing, or public feuds

The people who spent years defending and even lionizing Kyle Rittenhouse and Ashli Babbitt now want us to believe that an unarmed mother in her car and a disarmed nurse were domestic terrorists who deserved to be murdered by law enforcement.

ICE and CBP agents need to understand they're going to be wearing those masks for the rest of their lives.

Okay, can we have just a teensy bit of schadenfreude?
Noticing a trend from my Facebook feed: Lots of Republicans/conservatives in cities subjected to Trump's occupations (L.A., Minneapolis, Charlotte, Chicago) are angry and turning radically anti-ICE.

But Republicans/conservatives everywhere else don't believe them.

Forgive us if we're trying to figure out how to resist without incurring mass casualties and descending into what would likely be a generational civil war

Any overthrow of the current US government would come at a heavy cost. Our last revolution lasted 8 years and was also a civil war

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

like 75% of dem messaging right now should be “the party led by epsteins best friend is breaking into pre-k childcare centers so they can record your toddlers and put the videos on internet”
uhhh yeah I can see why these childcare properties weren't eager to let in some rando dudes asking "where are the kids?"

Does anyone on this site have any pull with manufacturers of women’s denim jeans? If so, please tell them we don’t want to wear highwaters. Are we being pranked or something? Teenage me is so embarrassed for myself.
