I think highly of Ms. Vance.

But I don't assume that me or any of my family members can fight back and expect to survive the encounter. And then if we do we have to expect to be sent to prison (not jail).

If men with guns and masks tried to pull me out of my car, I'd fight back. Courts should reject any claims by the government that this is aggression by the person being detained, resisting arrest, or that they're a flight risk.

Why my TL has been quiet about the "peace" deal. How will Palestinian civilians actually be treated by current and future Israeli govts? Will they still suffer under apartheid rules? Will American maga steal land for hotels? And what about the street thugs that are in Hamas?

In general I’m not a “nothing matters it won’t work” kind of person. And maybe I’m wrong; I hope I am! But I don’t get treating this Gaza deal as something that will still be in place 6 weeks from now. Too many people in positions of power on all sides who don’t want the fighting to end.
