The irony of Abbott — who uses a wheelchair for mobility — telling another governor to “do some pushups” while the chryon reads, “The Left’s Alternate Reality” is almost too much to bear.

Do some pushups?

Abbott can talk the talk but he can’t walk the walk.

So this is the difficulty. Not just how do we get to a deal, but how do we get to a deal we trust will be honored when Johnson is here *promising* to let Trump impound and take back whatever he wants from what they pass?
atrupar.com
Q: Rescission are something Dems have said is a reason for a lack of trust. What rescissions are you discussing?

JOHNSON: We have more than $37t in debt. We're doing everything we can to get us back to sound fiscal responsibility. What does that include? A rescission package is part of our process

Donald Trump is not a king — and his administration is not above the law.

Today, the court confirmed what we all know: there is no credible evidence of a rebellion in the state of Illinois.

And no place for the National Guard in the streets of American cities like Chicago.

Republicans control the House, the Senate, the White House, SCOTUS, and yet we’re supposed to believe that it’s Schumer’s shutdown??

These absolute chucklefucks…

Independent C-SPAN caller to Rep. Mark Alford: "You're taking credit for $50b that you just gave to the hospital industry. That's after you took away $150b. You don't take credit for just giving back a little bit of money after taking away so much. So quit lying. It just makes you look horrible."

I talked to a guy once that knew a guy that was cousins with a woman that used to eat broccoli and then she got cancer and died. I'm disgusted. Big Broccoli needs to be brought down. We need to end the deep state broccoli takeover before we lose our country to these radicals.

Years ago I was teaching my gun history class and at the end of the quarter one of the students said that he was in the campus TPUSA chapter and they put him up to taking the class to spy on me but he felt bad about that because he loved the class and learned a lot and had a great time

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

Republicans already have hurled such allegations, and they will again.

Right-wing propaganda can’t be a deterrent to seeking justice.

Just to remind us how bad things have gotten in ~8 years, Trump was under investigation for obstruction of justice during his first term for interfering in the investigation of Michael Flynn

This wouldn’t even be a headline today.

Real leaders — people who have actually inspired us and brought meaningful change— have streets, buildings, and monuments dedicated to them out of reverence from the *people*.

Kirk will be remembered because the state requires it.

That’s a critical distinction.

Bill filed in #Florida Legislature would make every single college & university name one street after Charlie Kirk. And the bill even specifies WHICH street at each one. (But the governor doesn't want streets used for political messages, which is why no rainbows!) www.tallahassee.com/story/news/l...

I love this idea, although I think SCOTUS would lay bare its unabashed hypocrisy. The Roberts court would remove all doubt and illuminate the fact that it is driven by ideology and not by any articulable legal framework.

So, well, at least we’d have that?

It is pretty galling that the Supreme Court spent four years telling Biden "you can't do that without Congress" then allowed Trump to seize a once-unthinkable amount of power from Congress within nine months and concentrate law-making authority almost entirely in the executive branch.

This so much:

“Dems…rolled their eyes at McGrath after she announced that she was running for KY Senate again. McGrath…raised over $90M in her 2020 campaign against Sen. Mitch McConnell, only to lose by nearly 20 points.”

McGrath, Jaime Harrison, Val Demings, and Charles Booker can get bent.
