I know this is me mostly being pedantic, but it bothers me when people and media just lump all forms of AI together as one thing. I’ve done work on genuinely useful and sustainable AI and hate how it gets negated entirely by people lumping it with relatively useless and resource consuming genAI

As a kid, I remember my mom taking me to a stage production of Scooby-Doo. Scooby-Doo wasn’t played by any puppet, but by an actor, wearing a Scooby costume, on all fours, like a dog, as theatre intended! Pretty sure that had an influence on me becoming a pup later in life. Thanks mom. ❤️
