Very happy to see that my local library service nominated one of my top reads for the #DublinLitAward.

I loved The Wager and the Bear by @johnironmonger.bsky.social / @flyonthewallpress.bsky.social so much and have recommended lots!

So many other books to explore on the longlist too.

When do other poets give up on submitting to the same place? There's one Irish journal I've submitted to 7 times with no success. Time to accept my poems are not for them? 🤔 They gave encouraging feedback on one of my poems in the early days so I always thought one day I'd get that acceptance email!
Back submitting to journals again...it's a strange business this writing life...expecting rejection while tentatively hoping for a perfect match. Tinder for poets.
