New @uclaits.bsky.social research: @metrolosangeles.bsky.social's transit ambassador pilot program found success in providing eyes on the system, likely improving rider satisfaction, and even saving lives with Narcan. I wrote something with @futureis about how LA has basically stopped maintaining its streets.

At this rate, the city is going to be one big pothole in a few years, and we’re going to spend more on settling lawsuits than fixing streets.
