Good news: last year, USDOT FHWA released a thoughtful report on how state DOTs can respond to homelessness in proactive, not punitive ways, relying on data, not victim-blaming, citing @uclaits.bsky.social research.

Bad news: the document is now marked with a big ol' "RESCINDED" watermark...

LADOT is working on adding protected bike lanes on Ohio between Westgate and Westwood, and traffic calming on other surrounding streets, providing a safe way to cycle between Westwood and areas West of the 405.
