I've always felt that the usual definition of life is maybe a bit too restricting; somehow it feels weird to argue that self-replicating systems aren't "life" even if they don't metabolise, respond to stimuli etc.

Off to a great start: the station's exit is being blocked by a stuck NPC ship, so the usual lethal response to camping at the exit doesn't apply.
Argh. Guess I'll take a taxi shuttle to another station and have my ship transferred, although that'll mean waiting for the transfer…

Also, one of the systems we used to replace those mines was cluster munitions, which are an order of magnitude worse.
