A fun thing that is subtle is the Puerto Rican flags they carried having a Cuban blue field. Changing the colors to match those of the US flag is part of the flag's decriminalization. That Cuban blue is the original blue of the partisans.

For real tho my first dog of my own died after my kids were in Waldorf kindergarten so my first rainbow bridge thing is children come to their parents across the rainbow bridge, so the pet thing was unpleasant to learn and worse to imagine. Babies and dead dogs walking past each other forever. Ugh.

I know it's probably my loss but I honestly believe my entire knowledge and experience of Celeste Ng is the time I was on the IRT up to Penn and misread an ad for her book and was briefly fascinated by the idea of Little Fries Everywhere.
Hope she figures this out tho.
