France has ended up in a strange position after using some €250bn of tax-payer money to build a fleet of nuclear power stations. Wind and solar power is merrily entering the French power market at prices nuclear production can't match, resulting in huge surpluses of power.

New Zealand's top court finds climate change must be considered in issuing oil and gas tenders because:
- climate is a big concern to NZ
- NZ has committed to reduce emissions
- oil and gas cause emissions

Seems obvious! But NZ is way ahead of Canada on this.

I took a look at what the submissions to the Australian Senate's climate misinformation inquiry had to say for @drilledmedia.bsky.social. The more you look, the more it looks like anti-renewables groups kicked an own goal in the rush to flood the process.
