If your goal this year is to read more books, remember:

you don’t have to finish every book you start. If you’re halfway through and can’t stand the characters or just don’t care what happens, it’s okay to put it down.

Life’s too short to read books you don’t love!

Honestly, you can never go wrong by giving the credit to others that they have merited. It acknowledges who has been important to your successes and how, and it reminds people that successes of one person almost never happen without the work of others.
I love you always give credit where credit’s due. :-)

Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.

December 24th, 9pm, eastern standard time. From here on in I shoot without a script. See if anything comes of it.

Yes, libraries are invaluable for their collections and public services they offer, but also social contact without the expectation to interact with anyone or spend any money is so important to so many people

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
“They were careless people . . . they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”

Sorry but all the fables and fairy tales I read as a kid led me to believe people would be learning WAY more lessons than they actually do

The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie.

An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough.

So finish the thing.
