Ahead of October 18th’s nationwide ‘No Kings’ Day, some Republican leaders tried desperately to rebrand the protest against President Trump’s policies, not just as un-American, but as anti-American. But, this Republic was founded on dissent. The right to peaceably assemble and to seek redress of our government is etched into our Constitution. And it has been the catalyst for progress for generations.

Imagine being the largest newspaper in Washington, DC with the motto "Democracy Dies in Darkness" and thinking to publish this today.

You might think WaPo editors would look out the window and realize something more important is happening. But perhaps democracy already died over there.

Thank you to Donald Trump for destroying the U.S. soybean industry. He has about destroyed the family farm (only speaking for my family, but probably others as well).

This guy wasn't a competent businessman - ever. And that is causing us all pain.

I feel like George Santos exemplifies a lot of what’s broken in the “justice” system. He was a corrupt politician, he briefly experienced the horrors of inhumane prison conditions, then the corrupt president moved to yank him out—and his victims received none of what they were owed in the process

Actually, it's an impasse between Republicans. They have the votes in the Senate to dump the filibuster - which they've already done this term - and pass their 'Clean CR' but they know it's a disastrous bill for them. They thought Dems would come half way and they'd negotiate from there.

It's a design flaw. As with Donald Trump, I think the Founding Fathers thought and hoped beyond hope that no one would ever get here - breaking (not bending) the system.
