NEW: The two shot National Guard troops never should have been in DC. More troops is no answer.

The violence is horrible and unacceptable. Trump, Pete Hegseth, and West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey never should have put the troops in this position.

Trump is, and has been for years, the leader of a terrorist movement.
“He isn’t worried about Trump’s political wrath; he doesn’t plan to run for reelection.

His fear of speaking out is much more personal: ‘I’d rather my house not get firebombed’”

Yes.

And then also fired a ton of senior agents with a ton of counterterrorism experience, including the Acting Director.
Didn’t the FBi pull a lot of personnel from anti terrorism to put them on deportations?

Actually the whole security establishment pivoted

The film Civil War line about “shooting journalists on sight” in DC doesn’t seem dystopian now so much as a vision—not a future history. Even if the hypothetical opponents seem fanciful, the scenes have power because they are so convincingly possible if only in the spirit thereof not the letter.

Trumps further deployment of 500 NG is an abuse of a procedural safeguard.

A stay is meant to preserve the status quo. Trump is treating it as an opportunity to escalate beyond what the court has paused.

The purpose of stay is intended to freeze the situation, not to create unilateral expansion.
3. But, Judge Cobb's order is only stayed until Dec. 11 — see: www.lawdork.com/p/federal-ju... — so, unless she or a higher court grants a stay — or the administration calls for the new troops under a new authority than the existing ones — the new troops would need to leave by Dec. 11, too.

I’m really looking forward to living a life where Trump is completely irrelevant and wholly absent.

Whether the diversion of assets and budget cuts played a role in the ambush shooting of two national guardsmen is a legitimate question As is their deployment to DC in the first place my making them a target for potential terrorism. As adding 500 more NG, making them an even bigger target.

The war will end when Russia stops fighting. Therefore, pressure has to be put on Russia, so that they stop believing that they will win. Why is that so hard to understand?

Don’t forget that *Trump’s own lawyer’s argument* to the Supreme Court in the immunity case was that the check on the President using his immunity to order criminal acts was that those under him would not follow illegal orders. Now it’s a crime for lawmakers to remind servicemembers of that?
The President doesn't want you standing up and speaking out against him, so he's coming after me to intimidate all of us.

But I won't back down — and neither should you.

KA$H calls the National Guardsmen who were shot law enforcement officers, which is clearly erroneous.
And of course, never failing to miss an opportunity to politicize something that should not be, Hegseth steps up to the mic and announces that he’ll be deploying 500 more National Guardsmen to DC at the direction of the President.
Remember that the Guard were originally deployed to DC to avenge Big Balls, who is meanwhile rifling through all our Social Security data.

AND ALSO, on Nov 20, Jia Cobb ruled the Guard deployment was illegaly, but stayed her decision until December 11.
