Pinning posts is a thing now, so new intro!

I'm Jason! I've been in the gaming industry for 20+ years, at places like 2K, Bethesda, and currently Gearbox. I worked on many games you may have played. I also freelance for The Comics Journal.

I post complete nonsense here, and quite frequently, pie.
Shout out to all the fellow dads corralling their families for holiday travel today.

Nothing specific. Instead I would start a fund so that any dumb kid can create the art they want without worrying about money.

It would result in a whole lot of bad stuff, but also, a lot of incredible, impossible to predict work.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

I mostly agree here, although I'd put Last Jedi before Rogue One.

Also, everyone forgets about the Clone Wars movie! Understandably so, since it was pretty mediocre. The final episode was much better, but if we count that, we'd have to count the better episodes of Andor, so let's not go there.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

I'm sorry, WHAT???

"...the ending Lin was working toward...was the very expensive, hard-to-even-fathom idea of the group fighting against a huge machine that would dive underground and eat cars, sort of like Transformers."

James Cameron announces a new movie! His first non-Avatar theatrical release since Titanic in 1997 (!) and it's...a Billie Eilish concert film?

Did not see that coming.

Been in the kitchen since 7AM. Dinner's in the slow cooker for the next 7 hours, and pie's about to go in the oven.

A ton of work for an early Sunday morning, but hey, I guess I'm done now!

DONALD TRUMP FIVE MINUTES AFTER MEETING ME: Have you heard of this thing "pie?" It's a very old fashioned word. Traditional, really. Very old, pie, but I think it's great. Apple, peach, there are even chocolate pies, which I think is just tremendous. The best. But not quiche. Nobody wants that.
DONALD TRUMP FIVE MINUTES AFTER MEETING ME: And it's called "Ouendan." Ok? When I heard it, I said, what a beautiful word. But it's something we're going to be looking at more and more, and doing it probably even better than it's ever been done
DONALD TRUMP FIVE MINUTES AFTER MEETING ME: And, you know, the Game Awards, they gave Best Music to God of War instead of Xenoblade 3, and it was very unfair

I'm playing Yakuza 0, my first brush with the series (thanks @mikeydowling.bsky.social!).

There's a lot I really like, but you know what's great? Pause the game, and there's always a bit of flavor text telling you what's going on and what to do next.

Such a great touch. More games need this!

The cynic in me notes this has already been available for literal decades, and that the Z-Machine has already been extensively documented. But that aside...this IS positive news! And I'll take that.

Floppies only made sense when they were cheap and disposable.

Serialization helps fund comics creation, but $4.99 for 20 pages of something that will eventually be collected is stupid.
Anyone have a particularly hot comic take?
