Just because laws were passed to make us “equal” doesn’t mean equality ever happened. White men made changes in “good faith” to quiet us, not empower us. Same way women wanted to work, so they made us secretaries, still “in our place.”

The way you phrased it "study/platform/represent" perfectly explains why it happens too, I think.

People can easily slip into that "observer" mindset with the internalized bias that, by being the observer, rep, etc, they are above the group.

Which can the lead to talking over that group.

We can't stop with just child-in-chief. We're gonna have to clean house too, and it kinda sounds like you're opposed to that idea.

So this is a fun new twist in my routine that I only discovered due to sheer frustration.

If I say "Alexa turn on the living room lamp" I get the reply "Sorry, living room doesn't support that".

But when I say "Alexa turn on the living room lamp and don't give me any shit about it" it turns on.

Do I need to calm my body and nervous system with a bath, or do i need to calm my mind with a nap?

Like honestly if I could safely nap in a warm bubble bath, I absolutely would, but I'm a side sleeper.
