Published my game right under the deadline (I'll do a proper post about it in the morning) and I didn't have time to get people to play test it like I hoped I would so now I'm just crossing my fingers there aren't any game breaking bugs I missed lol

I want a magic memory eraser
Not for any like trauma or bad experiences or anything
Just for those one off nothing bits of awkwardness or cringe that pop in your mind off and on for the rest of your life
I don't need to remember all that lol

I really wish I had posted about other games I really liked when I was binging Jacksepticeye's horror backlog. And Gaming Harry's. Maybe one day I'll go through and make a rec list but by god my list "maybe one day" projects is long lol
I'll just try to remember to do it going forward

Just finished Jacksepticeye's playthrough of Face of Another by @madbugstudio.bsky.social and genuinely what a well made and meaningful horror game!
Currently on sale for $4.19, but it's normally only $6.99

I have worked on the game for this jam for like 20 hours so far.
Only a couple days left.
I'm so close to the end!

One of the things about people showing up to protest for the first time, that many, many armchair theorists don't grasp, is the effect of seeing what happens with your own eyes, then seeing how media covers it, and what is said ABOUT YOU by media and political personalities/office holders.
This dude is intense and correct

Y'all, I'm freaking out- ADHD Field Guide for Adults has gotten over 1000+ preorders. Thank you all so much, this is wild. There's a physical option, an audiobook (recorded by us!), & a digital version so if you've been waiting, now is a great time to jump on the pre-order train!

Honestly "compounding issues with very few disappearing controversies" is something to keep in mind for a *lot* of issues.
It's easy for us to see "oh this company did x thing? That kinda sucks" and then stop hearing or thinking about it until they do y thing,
which is probably worth reiterating: all of spotify's issues are compounding, very few of their controversies disappear.

when the news covers a new reason spotify sucks, it's added to the pile. they are still spending hundreds of millions on joe rogan, they're still open to running ICE ads, etc.

in case you needed YET ANOTHER reason to leave spotify: it's now the most expensive one of these things out there.

(plus all of the other reasons which never went away)

Mark it.

Two weeks into 2026 and I already know about more games industry layoff waves than in all of 2021, impacting about five times as many people that we know of.

We're still so far from 'normal'

We need to talk about this openly. Don't struggle alone. 💞

I'm sure it's been talked about, and I might try to look up times people have, but Eddi Gluskin from Outlast Whistleblower being considered such a phenomenal and disturbing villain is interesting because what he's doing is sexual violence on men in a way that's taken seriously

The way I always explain it is that I got nerdy about porn the way I have with most things, then I saw a 20/20 on ethical porn and it changed how I consumed it.

I just am always curious about the ins and outs about the things I enjoy. I remember exactly where I was when I learned Olivia retired.
i will always respect your porn knowledge for your Olivia O'Lovely reference casually tossed into Never Stop Blowing Up

it fucking FLOORED me; I had to explain to my partner why I had to pause the video because I was laughing and coughing uncontrollably

Just found out the hospital system my PCP is in now works with a surgeon who has a higher bmi limit for top surgery!
Which I am still a lil close to hitting but I really don't fluctuate weight that much or gain weight quickly so I shouldn't have an issue
Now I can *actually* start the process!

Also, just FYI, The Hundred Line is currently the cheapest it has been so far.

Not a HUGE discount, but it is EASILY worth $40 if you enjoy visual novels as a *medium* at all. The prologue alone (30-40 hours!!!) is probably worth the price of admission, and after that point it goes completely ham.

I often think about Jonathan Cooper's posts about TLOU2, that the studio ran out of seasoned game animators because its reputation was so bad and thus had to hire film folks who had to be taught how to put games together.
