When prices rise because *demand* is hot, wages usually follow. When prices rise because tariffs raise costs -- a *supply* shock -- there’s no reason paychecks catch up. That’s why tariff inflation hurts a whole heckuva lot more. It's a permanent reduction in living standards.

Although Georgia has been trending purple for a while, tonight in the special PSC elections, not only did two Democrats win non-Federal, statewide elections for the first time in two decades, they both won in landslides.

It's always gratifying when a best-selling, award-winning author supports your pet peeves about language. "Casted" is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
The more I see people using "casted" instead of "cast" the more I realize that I am a grumpy old fart who only wants to see the language evolve in my preferred directions, nevertheless I will happily judge you for it if I catch you doing it, look, my dude, the accepted past tense is shorter okay
