I think I've asked before is there a deadpool for Trump administration exits and are people manipulating the market?
Haven't they been teasing this for months now?
White House officials have grown frustrated with DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, and one source says her position may no longer be secure, Nick Miroff, Yvonne Wingett Sanchez, and Michael Scherer report.

This is an evergreen tweet, right? Right?
The 79-year-old president appeared to malfunction, veering off script into a confusing word salad.

TIL the origins of Kamala is a cop.
Not for nothing, the person who coined the "Kamala is a cop" meme that took off like wildfire in "leftists" circles was a woman who was convicted under Harris' tenure as AG for indecent contact with a minor, a teenage boy.

Release the drones of war.
"Earlier this week, the anti-drone technology was launched near the southern border to shoot down what appeared to be foreign drones. The flying material turned out to be a party balloon, sources said. One balloon was shot down, several sources said. "

There I was just walkin' down the street
Singin', "Do wah diddy, diddy, dum diddy do"
Snappin' my fingers and shufflin' my feet
Singin', "Do wah diddy diddy, dum diddy do"

I looked good (Looked good)
I looked fine (Looked fine)
I looked good, I looked fine
And he nearly lost his mind
Watters: I was walking in my street, a car drives by and I give him a wave. He rolls down the window and says, “F U fascist.” He doesn’t know I’m a fascist!

Jessica: Yes, he does. You’re on TV.

We're getting close to a Soylent Green post.
You know what they’re going to store in those warehouses?

People
In the last month ICE has bought warehouses in:

- Hagerstown, MD: $102 million
- Surprise, AZ: $70 million
- Hamburg, PA: $87 million
- Tremont, PA: $120 million
- San Antonio, TX: $82 million
- El Paso, TX: $123 million
- Social Circle, GA: price unknown

This is unprecedented.

What's all this talk about drafts being bad? Surely it depends on what's on tap?
OTOH it's pretty chilly when it gets drafty in here.

@dmaanderson.bsky.social, you might be interested while skimming through this. Constitutional law intersection with health care rights and market forces.
My latest, "Free Exercise and the Redistribution of Liberty," is now posted (and forthcoming in @yalelawjournal.bsky.social). It argues that free exercise doctrine uses selective market logic to redistribute both public resources and liberty itself.

Just to be clear, this is Salem Oregon. Police claiming nothing they can do. Clearly there was nothing they would do.
4 federal agents pull over an elderly US citizen for the suspected crime of being brown, break her car window, throw her to the ground, then drive off after they find her US Passport in her purse. The Salem Police, when called, say there’s nothing they can do. www.salemreporter.com/2026/01/31/u...

What kind of a ghost writers market will there be for tales from those leaving the Trump regime? Catch and kill / wingnut welfare opportunities? Will there be journalists flogging insider books that get any traction?

Training cannot correct for lack of vetting and unsuitability for a position of public trust
Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

Trump vs Leonard Leo. Who coulda knowed. Where will the Supremes place their faith?
Trump: "The people heading up the lawsuit - like this guy named Leonard Leo, he's a bad guy - people that are very China-oriented & foreign car-oriented. They're suing to get rid of tariffs! Like Coke. Coke has businesses outside the US. If you have 'em outside, you don't want tariffs"

I am not sure how effective a resignation is in defeating a bad policy, but I am sure a quiet resignation does less. I hope Holsey will voice his concerns.
Adm Holsey retires today.

"It’s an almost incredibly honorable course of conduct for Holsey to have declined to capitulate to Hegseth’s bullying & instead to honor his oath to the Constitution by quietly giving up the job most Naval officers can only dream about."

Yes this is vile, but I quibble. Is any Congressman not "in good standing"? What constitutes good or not good standing for members of congress?
A sitting Republican Congressman in good standing said this, tweeted it out from his own account, and not a peep of outrage.

Imagine if he had said this about any other religious group. Why would it be tolerated? Why is this condoned?
