Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.

Checking in on Brawl. First 2 games with my (according to their system for matchmaking) very casual low value decks, get strip mine locked before playing a 2nd land. Next 2, Mana Drained into turn 3 loss/unsurmountable advantage.
It's a real shame that casual play is power-crept out.

Got around to trying the new set, opening up my trophy deck thread. I don't anticipate playing as much as I did with FF, likely winding down a bit in general. This deck seemed good though, made it really hard for them to block.

After scrubbing out of the first attempt, I rustled up another attempt under wifely duress and managed to get there for 2 Final Fantasy Boxes. Every opening hand looked horrendous but I drew the rares on key turns a few times, and I think 3 opponents were colour screwed. Yay!

MTG Arena team once again not beating the 'not fuck up an otherwise incredibly fun weekly format by not banning the very obvious cards to ban' challenge.
Let people have fun in your fun formats! Don't make every game terrible due to Footfalls!

You know you're in England when no one seems to think it's even slightly suboptimal when your free school meals system regularly will immediately take away a week of meals from small children if a parent misses arbitrary windows of time to book them, and gives no options for automatic booking.
