I’m rereading Liz Cheney’s book Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a Warning. It occurs to me that Moses Mike Johnson is clearly guilty of treason. It also provides valuable insight on why he committed it. So he could personally benefit.

🚨🚨Wow‼️In these times of uncertainty we need more Romeo’s in the world. He paid for people to eat for an hour and over 200 people were fed. This is the humanity and community we need right now. Bravo, Romeo‼️🔥💥🔥

The fact of the matter is that helping people costs money and that is just not popular with corporations that, for all practical purposes, own a vast number of congresspersons.

The fucking irony of a party themed on The Great Gatsby - a novel they’ve obviously never read.….
The fucking irony:
“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy - they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”

Imagine how it would eat into their billions in profits if we the people weren't nominally paying on the front end for the necessary research and outrageously on the back end to improve lives or even save them.

Pharmaceutical apologists will say “oh but the R&D costs so much!!!” 60 Minutes ran a story - it takes 3 WEEKS to recover ALL R&D costs after going to market. Then decades of fleecing sick people.

NETs (neutrophil extracellular traps) have been one of my favorite bits of wacky biology since we worked on them at Padlock a decade ago. Definitely overlooked as a source of inflammatory fuel in multiple disease settings. Good luck to these guys.
Exclusive: Breaking up immune webs called NETs may offer new way to treat autoimmune disease, early data suggest
Neutrolis tests enzyme therapy targeting neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) in Phase 1 trial, showing promise for autoimmune diseases. Drug cleared symptoms in teen with DNASE1L3 deficiency.

Career prosecutors were put on leave, allegedly for stating the truth about J6. The Administration is working overtime to erase history. It’s incumbent upon all of us to document truth, preserve historical record, and stand firm against efforts to replace facts.

$100 billion

Cost of lost revenue due to tax cuts for the richest Americans in the top 1%:

$100 billion

One is decried as "welfare." One is not.

Why?

HAPPENING NOW: Portland Police Commander Franz Schoening testifies that federal officers on Oct. 18 barraged protesters with crowd control munitions — not because of any violence but because another federal officer accidentally shot tear gas onto the roof of the ICE facility.

Welch: "This has nothing to do with the shutdown. The law requires and the funds are available to continue SNAP right now without any interruption. So that is a decision the president is making on his own to allow people to go hungry."

I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

This is the third U.S. Attorney found to be unlawfully appointed. The other two are Sigal Chattah and Alina Habba. Their indictments stand because they were signed by other prosecutors. Not true for Lindsey Halligan.

"We’re a long way from 'covfefe' and tumescent hurricanes Sharpied on a weather map. This is an era of lies as policy, where government priorities are based on right-wing conspiracy theories and fear-mongering."
