I still can't quite get over this meeting between Mamdani and Trump.

It is extraordinary. I think Jay Kuo (@nycjayjay.bsky.social) nailed it.

I'm praying that "[t]he fruits of Epstein-mania" will finally put a nail into the coffin of the misogynistic world that existed prior to the #MeToo movement. Summer's should have been fired decades ago.
Bezos allegedly wanted the editorial side of the paper to focus on - what was it? - free markets and individual liberties or somesuch and I guess by "individual liberties" he meant "men's freedom to harass women and denigrate their intellect."

I swear the 50501 movement is why we are seeing this. All over our country, communities of decent people are gathering and organizing together. The ground is shifting.

It's way too easy to doom-scroll but its important to also maintain a positive attitude.

Yes its important to stay informed, but its just as important to take breaks.

So take a minute, take a big breath and let it all go, even if just for a few moments.

I guess this means Raising The Salience Of Immigration (tremble...quake...shudder) can sometimes work for Democrats?
This is pretty amazing. This guy just won a solid victory in Bucks County, PA, one of the most important swing counties in the country, by *explicitly and deliberately* making his race *all about* nationalizing ICE raids. Confirms the point about this now being a winning issue for Dems.

It really is disgusting that Trump can insult, berate, single out, threaten, and demean female reporters on a daily basis for asking fair and legitimate questions and you can’t find a single Republican woman in Congress to say it is inappropriate behavior.

Trump is taking money we use to house people, money we use to *prevent* homelessness, and requiring it be spent instead on policing homelessness.

Yelling at people for being homeless, unsurprisingly, is less effective than housing people. He doesn't give a shit. The cruelty is the point.

Fundamentally agree with Amanda here.

Ed Markey has had a fantastic legacy, but that doesn't mean you should be like RBG, Biden, Ted Kennedy, or Diane Fienstein and potentially cost MA a vote in the senate at critical time.

Sometimes you should leave the stage when the crowd is still clapping.
@amandalitman.bsky.social's hot take: every Democrat over the age of 70 should make this their last term. Full interview with the cofounder of @runforsomething.net out now!

@moulton.house.gov blamed the 2024 election loss on transgender politics. I knew then he was so wrong and the voters on Tue proved me right.

I was on the ground in Pennsylvania in 2024. I KNEW the election was lost because of the price of eggs. This past Tue, the voters proved me right.

An incomplete list of cities where housing abundance was a major campaign issue & pro-housing candidates held or expanded majorities:
- Bozeman, MT
- Cambridge, MA
- Durham, NC
- Kalispell, MT
- Littleton, CO
- Manchester, NH
- Missoula, MT
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Seattle, WA
- Wilmington, NC

💪
We'll post a list sometime soon but in addition to all the D vs. R stories tonight, in basically every nonpartisan election in the country today, the more pro-housing candidate won.

Not bad #CambMA - Yesterday we voted our approval for more #housing and more #safestreets!

Unofficial results that are unlikely to change:

5 strong pro #housing + 1 social #housing + 1 sometimes pro #housing = 7 total
5 strong pro #safestreets + 2 sometimes pro #safestreets = 7 total
