“According to Strength in Numbers, the Disney boycott quickly became four times as large as any boycott over the last five years.

Disney's stock dipped about 3.5 percent and continued to trade lower in subsequent days — a loss in market value amounting to some $4 billion.”

Seth Moulton is not the person to replace Senator Markey. The ink hadn't dried on Trump's November victory before Seth Moulton threw our LGBTQ+ community under the bus by blaming them for the fact that Trump won the election!

The voters in Seth Moulton's district should vote him out of office!

A few days ago, I had the pleasure of speaking to the Joint Committee on Housing at the State House in favor of the Act to Promote Yes in my Backyard. We need to build more housing and we need every community to help. Thank you, Abundant Housing MA

A pitch for those of you canceling Disney+/Hulu this week would be to use that cash and subscribe to PBS/PBS Passport.

Public media is foundational to our democracy and supporting @pbs.org is just about the best value for your dollar. Plus, there are so many British mysteries!!!

If you’ve never read them, @nkjemisin.bsky.social’s _Broken Earth_ trilogy is a trio of masterpieces.

This particular passage is one of its most powerful passages.

They’re afraid because we exist, she says. There’s nothing we did to provoke their fear, other than exist.

There’s nothing we can do to earn their approval, except stop existing – so we can either die like they want, or laugh at their cowardice and go on with our lives.

Washington Post fires their last remaining Black opinion writer @karenattiah.bsky.social over the most benign comments in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's murder...

Meanwhile Fox still has Brian Kilmeade who casually said all homeless people should be killed.

Its all unfair & unbalanced. Wake up.

93% of Rhode Island voters say housing costs are a problem in the State.

While many support solutions like new apartments, middle housing, Affordable housing & homeless shelters in Rhode Island, support for those same solutions drops off dramatically "in their neighborhood."

Gov Cox says Robinson, the Kirk shooting suspect, had ‘leftist ideology’ but he won't tell us specifics. He just tells us how he interprets the specifics.

Robinson had recently become vocal in his criticism of Charlie Kirk before the shooting but Gov Cox declined to say Sunday what Robinson’s specific points of contention were with Kirk, describing him simply as “not a fan.”

WTF?!?!

Utah, this year, legalized open carry of firearms on college campuses. And the FBI head in Salt Lake City, experienced in anti-terrorism, was female and from Asia so she was recently fired.

“This isn’t a life, I mean, this isn’t — I really despise the fact that we have this conversation in a matter of life or death.” Minutes later, she dismissed cyclists’ deaths as “sadly, accidents happen.”

This is what Ayesha said at the June City Hall meeting after public comment was 20 to 1 in favor of bike lanes. Amongst the over 100 people who spoke that night were the families and friends of the 2 people who died in Cambridge bike accidents last year. Her statements reported by the Boston Globe:

Worst than that, her definition of community seems to be CCC types. When the community speaks loud and clear about their desire for street safety she dismisses us.
