Notice that Democrats respond 3 ways:

1. Fake hero "We'll never stop fighting!" while never starting

2. West Wingnut "We need answers" to "uncover" what's happening in front of the entire world

3. Bad bystander "Look at the terrible danger over there!" While doing nothing to stop it

Lehigh County Executive Josh Siegel’s announcement to evict the ICE agents came shortly after the county’s financial watchdog revealed the agency owes more than $115,000 in rent.

Seeing weird "blue" accounts that go after anyone who posts about abolishing ice. Blocking and moving on. Inaction only helps the fascists. Trying to abolish a death squad and death camps is actually a good thing.

These are all fantastic, feasible things the Massachusetts Legislature can do that will have an impact. I'm particularly glad to see the focus on courthouses as that is where ICE is most active and where it is hardest to both observe and disrupt their actions.

Hearing confirmed reports from people on the ground of ICE sightings in Portland, Maine today. If you see/know anything, message me on Signal at marisakabas.04
ICE is coming to Portland and Lewiston imminently, their mayors confirmed today. Both cities have large Somali populations.

When reached for comment, ICE wouldn’t even confirm whether or not this action was happening.

This is Minneapolis:

Some BIPOC U.S. citizens are asking their white friends to accompany them on grocery trips, visits to the doctor, etc.

Others are limiting trips, staying home, ordering delivery.

Delivery apps are slower bc fewer people are doing delivery - bc it doesn't feel safe for them.

This is so grim. Science isn’t just something nerds do, but the foundation of the modern world. What the Trump regime has done to US science will harm Americans for generations.

I like that the same day a guy was like “this place will never be Twitter” this thread gave us the most 2015 Twitter experience (complimentary) imaginable.

One of my fave political stories ever: when Maine’s GOP then-Gov LePage thought that not signing bills by deadline meant they’d die.

So he ignored all these Dem bills, thinking it’d kill them.

But in Maine, if Gov just does nothing (rather than veto), a bill becomes law.

So they all became law.

If you're a candidate who still hasn't said ICE should be abolished, end your campaign. At some point soon all politicians will be committed to Abolishing ICE and pretending they were for it all along. We see who the cowards are. We see who's in it for personal gain and who puts the people first.
