So I'm editing the Edinburgh Edition of Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World. Relatedly, if you're in the UK and you or your library possess the deluxe large paper British edition (1912 or 1914 versions), please let me know. It's the version with Iguanodon footprints on the cover.

China has made cheap, clean energy available in huge quantities. The world should take the win econ.st/4oqFszB

I've been getting back into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series after many years, and the most relatable part is how everyday objects like doors and elevators have been imbued with artificial intelligence and it just makes them obnoxious and frustrating to use and everyone hates it.

This amazing fact (that Joni Mitchell’s guitarist did the Terminator VFX) turned up in my research for this: a Comfort Blanket with author @jennycolgan.bsky.social in which the Terminator burns off its fleshy action-movie coating to reveal a tough, romantic endoskeleton.
