Stand up for folks, and they’ll stand with you.
Does anyone have a list of which lickspittles stood idle while he went full-bore Nazi on Somali Americans today in the Oval Office? I may need to prune my portfolio.

If the reporting is accurate then neither is fit for command and both must be removed.
Pinning the blame on Admiral Bradley - when Hegseth gave the order to kill everyone - is a gross abdication of leadership. He's not qualified to serve as Secretary of Defense.

Last night my town passed a resolution I wrote condemning ICE and limiting our cooperation with the feds. I cited this in my remarks. All of the Republicans voted against it. One of them was upset the resolution didn’t say anything nice about ICE. Another said it was “inflammatory.”

credit to NYT for not sanewashing the appalling bigotry we saw today in the WH

"Even for Mr. Trump — who has a long history of insulting Black people, particularly those from African countries — his outburst was shocking in its unapologetic bigotry."

A reminder that DOGE is supposed to be a specific thing. What? We don’t know!

That’s why I filed a lawsuit on January 20, 2025 with @jerald.bsky.social, repped by @nationalsecuritylaw.org, to find out. We still don’t have an answer, but the government’s public position has changed over and over.

House Dems and D consultants remember that Trump’s approval spiked after the first impeachment, so they’re gun-shy about it in general. But going after crooks in the Cabinet is still an option and wholly justified, and they’re not even entertaining it openly for some dumbass reason.
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

I mean, Hegseth deserves every bite of shit in the zoo, but so does everyone below him in the chain command who participated in this murder, not to mention the one above him. Hand each of them a spoon.
If Admiral Bradley didn’t realize before that these cowards were setting him up to take the fall, he knows it now. Time to hire a good lawyer.

He also made it clear he wouldn’t touch the East Wing, that he would release the Epstein files, that he would bring down grocery prices, that he’d share his tax returns, and that he’d release his health care plan “in two weeks.”

It’s hard to read this any way other than that Navy Adm. Frank Mitchell Bradley must be court-martialed. Whether the war-crime-fetishist President will pardon him is a different issue from what the UCMJ requires.

Jazz pianist philosophies as I understand them:

Johnny Costa: A piano by itself, in the hands of a master, is enough to fill a hall.

McCoy Tyner: A piano, surrounded by other instruments working to a common purpose, creates a magical fusion.

Art Tatum: I am at least three pianos.

I’m proud to have played my part in fighting DOGE, but the fight’s not over yet.

This is no more a victory than when a tsunami begins to flow back out to sea. The destruction from DOGE is incalculable, and goes far beyond what can be measured in money.

Our case, Lentini et al. v. DOGE, is ongoing.
The "Department of Government Efficiency" has disbanded eight months early.

DOGE sowed chaos throughout the government and disrupted services relied upon by millions, while finding hardly any savings.

Here's what you should know about damage that DOGE leaves behind.

Are there still partisan apparatchiks in the top offices of every Cabinet department and agency purging civil servants and imposing ideological purity tests on the remainder while stealing appropriated funds and steering them towards Trump’s allies?

THEN IT AIN’T DEAD
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

100%, but especially this:

“A university is a place for multiple perspectives and a clash of ideas.”

I sure wish Maric had understood that point a couple of years ago. Then I wouldn’t have had to spend so much time in court defending peaceful protesters who were wrongfully arrested on campus.
