Absolutely. Same. I read statements by the Pope and most bishops about social justice, caring for the poor, defending the migrants, etc. and I’m like, that’s pretty hip.

het, Catholic social teachings are pretty darn progressive (as it’s called these days). I taught at a Catholic school and they let me teach the kids to sing “we shall overcome” and “this land is your land” - no complaints from staff or parents. they pretty much said, make your own curriculum.

Most of the kids who graduate Catholic schools end up thinking people, for sure. I’m just saying my friends who are atheist went to Catholic school, and the organized religious aspects turned them starkly against it. Applies to a portion.

Half the atheists I know went to Catholic schools. organized religion has a way if making kids anti religious. Seriously. Public school me is more sympathetic to religious folk than my friends who went to catholic school.

I don’t listen to most music after the 1970s. And the ones I do don’t use it. I mostly go to live concerts where I can hear off pitch on occasion. And I love it!
