Some random thoughts on the #Bills of ‘Things I did not expect’ (Reply to Thread):

I wonder when Poona Ford will be brought up. That I can see McD being blamed for. How they couldn’t find a role for him still boggles my mind.

Hey Pat, I’m trying to find your “Bold Prediction” last offseason that Mike Tomlin, Sean McDermott, and John Harbaugh would all be fired

And everyone knows McDermott actually feels this way. It isn’t some BS PR statement that you see right through. I said earlier, this guy remolded the franchise and transformed it from being a 17 year joke. Super Bowl or not, he deserved better and you hope he can get his celebration in the future

But can he do that (eg better roster)? Ignoring the obvious cap space issues, getting rid of any players is only an indictment on his prior poor judgment in signing that player. I’m not sure Beane will so obviously point the finger at himself

Don’t forget though without a new GM, any new HC will not have the flexibility to change the roster (after all Beane doesn’t want to look foolish for his guys). For example a whole new crew might cut their losses with Coleman. With Beane still around, he might insist they give him another chance

What was the complaint about Kincaid? Injuries? Can’t say they were wrong though. Bosa was fairly invisible in the playoffs in regard to pressures and how many guys got the edge on him?

In a perfect world, his time here should be celebrated, but who knows what bad blood this results in. But I look forward to him landing a job in roughly 1 weeks time and having a lot of success.

We will see how the decision plays out, but #McDermott brought a #Bills team out of a 17-year drought, gained the team national respect, scared a lot of opponent’s, and made the last 8 years a hell of a lot of fun. His time here deserved better than a Mon firing.

100% The roster was incredibly weak

Promoting Brady would be the worst move. You need new ideas, new approaches. Not a new person to implement the same plan

I thought Beane should go and not McD. But he’ll be snapped up really fast by a team in need of a reboot/culture change

You forgot the adjective overpaid. And pinning your hopes on 3 SP returning from major surgeries at some undefined point in the season and expecting them to be in form is obviously such a strong hand, why the rush to make any other moves?

This should be held up every time the administration says ICE is only focused on arresting the criminals. A complete and utter lie.

Alright MVP. Time to prove it!

My wife who only sporadically watches #Bills games sees the extra point and goes, “I have so much more confidence in him than Bass”

Broncos recovered three of four fumbles and had another fumble (that the Bills recovered) wiped off by an offsides penalty. Difference in a close game so far.

Hey Bosa now would be a great time to earn your next contract and get some pressures

DB Darnell Savage in the game for Cam Lewis who is in the game for Jordan Poyer who was in for Damar Hamlin who was in for Taylor Rapp

I repeat… #Bills injuries
Isn’t it Dorian Williams who always plays the spy for QBs? His absence could be felt with Nix running

Bad move for Coleman to get more looks today

Lots of helicopters overhead in St Louis Park, #MN this Saturday morning. And I can guarantee they are not the mosquito spraying ones

My kid was wondering why their HW question was so confusing, so I take a look and it starts with “One pound is equal to 2.2kg, so compare these objects….”

So The NY Times has one, maybe two on ground reporters in an urban area of 2 million people to report on large scale ICE operations covering multiple counties. Yet they can spare reporters to interview people in out state MN that have no actual experience with what’s happening?

You could also be a professor in Minnesota. Classes start Tuesday and directives given yesterday to pivot all courses to support hybrid style teaching that accommodate students who (justifiably) don’t want to come to campus. Minimal guidance, zero time support, just last second complete disruption

Much thanks to the @startribune.com for being one of the few (only) major news outlets with actual reporters on the ground giving real time updates. But where are the other national outlets on this?? We need audiences beyond the Twin Cities witnessing what’s happening

Happening in our neighborhoods now

This amount of energy is almost unfathomable. It also makes you think that this energy is with us to stay and that’s why impacts of climate change will be so difficult to halt
The heat energy we added to the ocean LAST YEAR is the equivalent of:
- Detonating ten hydrogen bombs every minute
- operating over a hundred large power plants continuously for all of written human history
- Five times all the electricity human beings have ever used
Ocean heat content increased by 23 billion trillion joules, which was around 39 times greater than global primary energy use this year. This is the largest rise in OHC since 2017; overall OHC has increased by over 500 zettajoules since the 1940s.
