Has anyone else noticed that Walgreens just will not fill your Rx until you show up to demand that they finish the job? A phone call will not do it as they will not come to the phone no matter how long you wait on their intentionally unbearable hold line.

Religion has loads of reasons for ppl to be going to hell. But the rabidly religious ppl typically focus on being anti LGBT and anti abortion. It's never been about religion, and has always been about things that make them personally uncomfortable.

We're moving to Ireland. I'll be attending Burren College of Art. Excited and totally stressed out with the moving process

Upon inspection I've often found the colonized version of "American" (U.S.) identity to be essentially hollow when measured against the national identities of the places these same people immigrated from.

Queer folks get hit with this in the way that cishet society makes staying in the closest feel like the civil course of action
Power and whiteness have approximately 10,789 ways to dehumanize you while conforming to civility. Black people, in particular, have exactly zero ways to refuse or assert a boundary without being uncivil. And that’s the issue with these things.
Nope. Cus white people use civility as a weapon constantly. Thats how we got the fascism we dealing with now

Geeze that's well put and savage and I love it
The more skilled you are at a given task, the less useful you’re likely to find LLMs for said task. It’s not that every LLM detractor has never used a LLM before, it’s more likely you’re just bad enough that the LLM seems good in comparison.

Learning to blacksmith at the same time I started on T, in retrospect, was a gift. I was afraid that T might turn me into a prick. Steel, hammer, and anvil showed me that strength is helpful, but discipline and control are more important.

I believe trans people are uniquely qualified to aid women in their fight for equality and bodily autonomy. I believe we are also uniquely qualified to help men find the parts of their souls that have been taken from them by toxic masculinity.

They want us to snitch on doctors who provide gender-affirming care of any kind.

I definitely would discourage any messing around with that snitch site.

Fake names & emails & numbers would just ruin any chance of getting any valuable snitching done.

I think I'll put "No Gods No Masters" on my About Me slide so everyone at the conference knows that I don't have an advanced degree and I don't want to go to church with them.

Re-RFKjr shit-talking autistic folks: there's two sides to human decency in the face of disability.
1. Seeking cures for actual illnesses.
2. Inventing wheels to carry our brethren.
Our best comes out when we refuse to sacrifice each other.

A friend from back home reached out after the earthquake. Her coworker, a wheelchair user, had been told to go to the stairs and wait for EMS.

1. EMS was not coming. No one called them.
2. When her coworkers realized she’d been left to twist, they stayed with her. They are now facing discipline.

Anyone else see the aggressive persecution of trans people as a proxy war to trick cis-women into re-commiting themselves to service and self-subjugation to cis-men?

I showed up with extra signs yesterday. Assumed I would be carrying my Trans Liberation sign myself. An older lady looked over my options, and chose to carry that one. Portland, OR delivers beautiful solidarity. 🏳️‍⚧️ 🇺🇦 and 🍉 flags all over ❤️

This #transdayofvisibility I'm thinking about our inevitability. No matter how hard they come for us - We'll keep coming back in greater numbers like hydra heads. Because the universe wants us here. We aren't the only fringe of humanity, fighting to be. But today's our day.

Can’t emphasize this enough: if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the debased assault on our country, the antidote is connecting with other people in the flesh who are feeling the same way. There are millions of us.

Genuinely wish that there was more music with the sort of lyrical subject matter found in punk that didn't have the unfortunate impact of making me feel like I've been beating myself over the head with a cheese grater full of rocks.
