We’re back to sun-in-my-eyes-o’clock again, after the time change saved me for a bit, but I’ve defeated the problem by deploying a little-known technology called a “baseball cap.”

Does it look a bit silly? Yes.
Does it work? Also yes.

And I can still see outside!

We’ve always had a cheap, terrible stud finder that never worked great. We finally bought a magnetic one that was better, but still didn’t mark the edges of the board.

Today we upgraded to this because we’re wall-mounting a TV, and OMG. Soooo much better!!

Mr M’s company party had a bunch of AI photo booths, including one that made us look steampunk.

It changed my dark dress into a leather jacket and skirt and also made me way skinnier, while not changing Mr M’s waistline at all, though it did change his clothes, too. 😒🤬

Instagram has decided to show me all the artists, which is awesome, but all of these people painting on wooden tables that look like dining tables without any sort of protection is making me so nervous.

Zenira only planned to sell her rocks, but she’s met with an icy scowl, a muddy manor, & the overwhelming urge to mend the mess—owner included.

I probably should’ve been worried that my brain was far enough gone that it had started imagining mythical creatures, but I couldn’t be bothered. An interesting death was better than a lonely one. I stepped forward and the dragon rumbled at me. “Shush. I’ve never petted a dragon, even an imaginary one, so I’m going to do that before I die.” Belatedly, I tacked on, “If you don’t mind.” The rumbling ceased, so I took that as permission and pressed a hand against the dragon’s scaly blue side. After a moment, warmth bled through my soaked mittens. The scales were warm, even in the icy rain, and denser than stone. I leaned against them and willed the warmth to transfer faster. I’d read somewhere that people freezing to death often felt warm right at the end, so I guess my time was about up. What a whimsical way to go.
