Blue Labour - as rotten as the blue that came before it. “Change” was just the name and the personnel. After that the mission continued - to serve the wealthiest
Tim Allan may be getting less attention than Morgan McSweeney, but his links raised serious questions - and they’re part of the wider pattern of questionable appointments.

This isn’t really about individuals.

It’s about the state of the Labour Party.

Regressive Taxation.

Wages taxed at marginal rates of 20% to 45% + National Insurance.

Capital gains taxed at 18% to 32%: dividends taxed at 8.75% to 39.35%; No NIC levied.

Successive govts appease the rich. Difference in rates/NIC fuels tax abuse industry, public purse robbed of billions.
National Insurance is a regressive tax that hits the less well-off hardest
Compared to income tax, national insurance contributions attract little sustained scrutiny even though they provide large amounts to the public purse.

Look for wealthy or prominent individuals who are into big game hunting and who travelled to Austria, Hungary and Italy between 1992-1996.
The wealthy individuals who paid to hunt civilians reportedly numbered about 200, with groups of 5 to 10 making trips every weekend. They included individuals from the US, Russia, UK, Canada, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, and likely more countries. #OpDeathEaters

Productivity increases between 5% and 13% with working from home, and worker wellbeing improves hugely too.

But Farage doesn't care about reality. Or productivity. Or your wellbeing.

He cares about the workplace property investors who bankroll him.

I know it’s a very busy day but this story *really* matters

Josh Simons says he hired ‘a PR company’ to investigate a ‘suspected illegal hack’

But if you’re worried about a hack, why pay £30k to a PR firm?

A lot about this story isn’t right. And a cabinet office minister is at the centre of it
When he ran Labour Together, Cabinet Office minister Josh Simons hired a PR firm to investigate journalists

After our revelations, and a flurry of news stories, Simons finally gave his side of the story

But it doesn't seem to tally with the facts... 🧵

McSweeney goes - but Josh Simons in the frame over targeting journalists
Cabinet Office minister hired a PR firm to investigate journalists. His explanation is bewildering - and begs one big question. How can Starmer keep him on?

Hi I’m Chris Mason as BBC Political Editor I’m paid £270,000 a year for glib comments about the Govt & championing Reform UK

As a “professional ex journalist” I love mixing metaphors such as this corker

“A lightening conductor for the bumps in the road ahead”

Sounds great don’t it❗️👌🏼

I agree Mr. Tangwa 👍
"Technology will save us" can be a comforting story.
But it can also be an excuse for inaction. The most crucial technology we need is a shift in mindset—from separation to interconnection.
Agree or disagree?

Something magnificent about Kemi Badenoch's self-confidence, and her claim that the Mandelson affair is entirely down to her asking questions at PMQs. Like a toddler who thinks their plastic steering wheel is controlling the car.

#pwME reminder that Savannah needs our help.

Please email the CEO of the hospital she is in, [email protected], with just the title “Restore pain relief to Savannah NOW”

Also please keep donating to and sharing her fundraiser.

There's an update on Savannah's fundraiser and it is fucking grim.
The hospital have not changed course. Continuing to reduce pain meds. Still not reinstated antihistamine meaning Savannah's had no meaningful nutrition in 7 fucking weeks.

This is MURDER.

All 3 updates are from today.

A law with a financial penalty is just a law with price tag.
Two Parties headed by Farage, both broke election law and nothing happened apart from modest fines easily absorbed by their funding

There’s only one conclusion to make

UK Electoral Law doesn’t exist, it’s just a cost of achieving a goal to make the public think elections are regulated.. 🤷🏼‍♂️
Left: Reform UK breaks electoral law

Right: Vote Leave break electoral law

Why are there no real and meaningful consequences for breaking electoral law in the UK?
