Billionaires are willing to sacrifice anyone whose net worth is less than a billion dollars. They want to inherit the planet, but not with poor people on it.

(Yes, of course there are a few good billionaires, but most are in self preservation mode.)

Billionaires like Elon Musk don’t just think they’re better than the rest of us – they hate us | Zoe Williams
The ultra-wealthy talk about solving the climate crisis or ending inequality. But what they’re really interested in is outliving or escaping anyone poorer than them, writes Zoe Williams

Yeah. Makes sense.

Will Netanyahu survive 2026, what might his downfall mean for the region?

Will the West succeed in regime change in Venezuela?

Is Zelensky running out of time (as a leader and negotiator)?

Have both Reform UK and Green Party memberships peaked?

Can Fabianism make a come back in the UK?

A military transport helicopter just passed my house at a height just above third storey height (of a typical UK house).

Wouldn't have believed it had I not happened to standing by the window.

Gone before I could snap a pic. But it was impressive to see one fly past so close.

It depends on the company providing it. ICT apprenticeships, for example, give people with an attitude for it with skills and experience to go on and move up into very well paid jobs.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect cars to go slow on a dual carriageway designed for 60mph traffic.

Small stuff like this really matters. It small stuff like this that can help the economy.
Labour are steadily getting on with improving people's lives.

This time with a consultation on giving flat-owning leaseholders across England & Wales the right to request a gigabit-capable broadband connection from their freeholder that cannot be unreasonably refused.

To be fair to The bunion person, they just want their bunion taken care of. I can't imagine anyone turning down the appointment when offered it.

They've been open about bringing in external resources to tackle backlog.

The Today Programme must have Tony Abbott on speed dial.

They probably have a macro function to quickly establish a conference bridge among their favorite right wingers.

They're dealing with a backlog left by the Tories and pandemic. There will be oddity like letters arriving late in some cases where the computer systems aren't up to date.

When there's a backlog I don't mind who is fulfilling delivery while the backlog is being tackled.

I think many people won't realize that this is a lot on the domestic front in just a year and a half.

Populists want perfect solutions to everything. Perfection is the enemy of progress. We need to stick with Fabianistic approach.
December 15, 2025 at 9:15 AM
A phone call or video call appointment is still an appointment. I'm of the Internet generation so I don't tend to think of appointments at something that has to be in person. So, I don't consider that misinformation.

To keep up with flow of traffic on roads. When on a road, should be allowed to go at the speed limit of the road.

When you have to live with the fear of being caught up in a school shooting incident, not once, but twice.
Seeing multiple posts about Brown students who also survived the Parkland/Marjorie Stoneman Douglas shooting is heartbreaking.

No student should endure multiple shootings in their life before they even leave formal education; we’ve obviously failed them by allowing this to continue without action.

The terrorist was probably contemplating whether he could recover the weapon. The hero chose not to inflict violence himself so the terrorist was probably weighing up his chances of success at recovering the weapon. In the end he decided it wasn't worth the risk.
