one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

I'm a 53-year-old whose interests include SF/fantasy, rock and indie music, and cinema history. I've survived the writers I grew up imitating turning out to be sex pests and eugenicists, songwriters who saved my life being antisemites and fascists, and some of my favorite filmmakers being racists.
I want to lay down a few markers here for folks as the clock starts ticking down to the release of the Epstein Files.

1) You are going to learn about a lot more disgusting and sickening things people said, joked about and maybe even did. You will likely be disappointed in someone you had admired

One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. This Spanish Moon Moth (Graellsia isabellae) caught in the lamplight outside a hostel where we were staying in a dark pine forest in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees. Moons before, as a caterpillar it would have somehow found substance in miserly pine needles

Elon Musk’s $1T pay package is a corporate governance disgrace!

Investors ought to vote to displace the entire board!

Consumers should rebel by not buying any of Tesla’s products or the products of any of his other companies.

I hope some investors sue Tesla and Musk over his pay!

When @fermatslibrary.bsky.social brought up this 1940 article about why we have nothing to worry about from nuclear chain reactions, I checked that it was real and not a modern forgery. Because it seems almost too good to be true in light of current AI safety talk.

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.
