Can we agree that the Americans do not have a peace proposal. They have put forward a Russian authored ‘surrender or else’ document.
A planned peace plan meeting in Paris this Saturday will not take place. Earlier reports had suggested high‑level talks between the U.S., Ukraine, France, Germany and the UK to discuss the American peace proposal. It’s now unclear if or when such a gathering will be rescheduled.

Hard not to laugh.
Oops! The crew of a Russian bomber self-destructed: the dead pilots had to be scraped off the ceiling.

On the aircraft parked in a shelter, the ejection system suddenly activated. As a result of this inglorious final flight, the pilot and navigator were killed.

It’s an absolutely gigantic risk for the EU and its Member States:
1. Brexit cost the EU & EU businesses fortunes in uncertainty & adjustments, and sucked up near endless political capacity and attention. It cost the UK much more, but still cost the EU.

2. It would require MS leaders to stake…

“Lot of folk saying UK proponents of an EU Customs Union are at least showing positive intent. I'd argue the precise opposite, that they are perpetuating the long-standing issue of UK demands on trade that seem like cakeism to the EU.”
Ten years on the UK is still mostly talking to itself about EU relations (from NS Morning Call).

Let me know when any politicians start talking about far greater mobility / freedom of movement, because that will show them thinking about the other side.

The NHS has spent 20 years or more urging this 2% to seek treatment other than at EDs to absolutely no effect at all. Complete waste of effort and money.
Some patients do attend A&E with problems that could be dealt with by other healthcare services. However, the article makes clear this cadre represents 2% of patients. If you really want to reduce pressure on A&Es, offer Covid vaccines free for all.

The war will end when Russia stops fighting. Therefore, pressure has to be put on Russia, so that they stop believing that they will win. Why is that so hard to understand?
November 27, 2025 at 1:49 AM
It’s amazing how often this simple fact gets ignored. Demand is not soaring, but onward movement from EDs is poor. The ‘obvious’ solution is therefore wrong.
Misleading write-up - it's true that there is a crisis in A&E, but this is not because of "soaring demand".

The RCN report itself shows that A&E attendances are only 3% higher than in 2019, while 12+ hour waits are 8,033% higher.

A *huge* vaccine victory. I've been writing on this for years; Australia has seen remarkable progress in cervical cancer prevention with the HPV vaccine. I love seeing science triumph like this.
Australia recorded ZERO cases of cervical cancer in women under 25 for the first time since they started tracking the cancer in the 80s.

This is the power of vaccines.

The HPV vaccine is extremely effective at preventing cancer.

Viruses can be oncogenic. Get your vaccines and protect yourself!
